Our 4yo mare, Nicci’s Fling, goes around in the Group 3 Birthday Card stakes at Rosehill tomorrow and could be the icing on the cake for her trainer, Gary Portelli.

Portelli has two of the favoured runners in the 5 million dollar Golden Slipper, in second favourite, Sejarden and the promising filly, Fireburn.

After what should be a hectic but exciting afternoon for the stable, we are hoping to see The Fling bounce back to her best after a disappointing first up run in the Group 2 Millie Fox.

We wish Gary the very best of luck in the Slipper and hope that by 6pm, he will be carrying two trophies out of Rosehill.
